Today, I’m going to show you, step by step Install Ubuntu on a virtual machine. The system requires the installation of a 700 MHz processor (about Intel Celeron or better), 512 MB RAM (system memory), and 5 GB of hard-drive space.
Download Ubuntu Desktop Image:
First of all, we’ve to download the Ubuntu ISO image. it’s a freely available OS that is based on Red hat ENT. Linux system. You can download the ISO from its website. please go to the link and download ISO.
Follow the below steps to Install Ubuntu On VMware Workstation:
Open VMware Workstation:
After downloading an iso file, open VMWare, and create a new virtual machine.
Select Installation Media or Source:
After creating the virtual machine, a dialog box will open in it, add an ISO file from the “Installer Disk Image File” option and start the installation.

Enter Details in Personalize Linux Dialog Box:
In this dialog box, you have to enter your Name, Username, and Password. This will your Login credentials. Check Virtual Machine Name and Location (Virtual Machine Backup path), Also check Disk Capacity and Power On Virtual Machine.
OS installation starts:
After this, you will see that the installation process starts. (Copy files & setup installed) Please wait until the process completes. After an automatic restart, you will be asked to enter your username and password to log in.
Login in to Desktop:
Now you will have to enter your username and password to login to Ubuntu. This is the same username and password you had set earlier.
